The land gap: how much land each council still has to find
Every council in England has a housing target. Of the 146 whose brownfield registers are complete enough to total, 115 cannot meet five years of it from brownfield land on their register. The rest has to come from somewhere else.

Where brownfield covers least
The share of five years' housing need that each council's own brownfield register could supply. The lower it is, the more land has to come from elsewhere. How this is calculated.
